edit: I just did a bunch of digging on their websites, Tumblr, and Twitter, and it looks like they are at development again and showing off a demo of YIIK at Pax East! Hopefully they have time to finish up Chromophore at some point, just like you I really want to play this one (but I ran into some really bad bugs).
edit 2: I did some more Twitter digging, and found this tweet from January of this year: "YIIK will be out before Chromophore, but this summer will hold something special for people who have waited. Our plans are very different than originally intended, but we want everyone to experience Two Brothers somehow. #gamedev"
:(
YIIK is finished and they've now returned to 2Brothers/Chromo
Honestly, I'd pay full price just to play the game without bugs. I loved the concept and played as far as I could but bugs kept me from fully enjoying it.
Huh I was unaware Yiik was made by the same guy(s). Good that there's some news at last.
