Installing MODS from http://te4.org/addons/tome on Tales of Maj'Eyal's Steam Version
OK..

I tried to move the .teaa file (got by downloading on http://te4.org/addons/tome) in my folder where I installed Tales of Maj'Eyal (Steam).

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\TalesMajEyal\game\addons

And then restart Tales of Maj'Eyal..

So when I look to ADDONS LISTS through the game, I can't see my newest installed addon :(

Please, explain me why?

Thanks !

OK..

Finally it is a bug of the last version of Tales of Maj'Eyal !

Well, ALL FILES in Steam version of the Tales of Maj'Eyal must start with: tome-

When downloaded from the te4.org website we get a .teaa file like (for ForgeKnight mod) this:

-forgeknight-.teaa

After accepting its installation, (auto-installation BUT not through Steam Workshop) we have a new addon file in the folder:

C:\WHERE_STEAM_IS_INSTALLED\steamapps\common\TalesMajEyal\game\addons

Now, for getting this addon thing working and being recognized by the game:

WE MUST RENAME IT LIKE THIS:

RENAME: -forgeknight-.teaa
BY THIS: tome-forgeknight-.teaa

SO, if you DarkGod go through my topic, please considere it as a bug..
ALSO please, note that I not installed Steam in default Program Files folder but in a folder named Steam at the root of my "C:\" hard-drive !

Thanks for reading ! :)
Keep up the good work on this amazing game !

Well, its not a bug because it just requires the module shortname for which the addon is intended to. The only question is if the forgeknight addon was uploaded incorrect or if the website cut off the name.
Do you have this problem with other addons or did you rename that yourself?

Hey, thanks for answer,

SO >> The ForgeKnight mods is not the only one being ignored (if not manually renamed like I said)..

They are downloading fine for me. To me it looks like you rename them when you save the files, which you shouldnt do with addons.

If you're at the page for an addon the files listed and linked for each revision is for some reason not named correctly. If you click on the individual revision the download link there will have the properly named file. I am unsure why it works like this.

I don't rename them when I save the file since it is downloaded through ToME and it is automatically installed (moved when downloaded (like this)) in ToME addons directory =)

Yeah I saw this today too ! Thanks for confirming.
Some hours later it seems the issue is fixed,
- I can now download files by their correct name.
- But please note that I haven't tested since to download them through the ADDONS INSTALLER directly in ToME.

It was (like I said) a weird bug, but not a bug (Like I tought) of the game but a bug coming from the ToME Addons website !

I'll show you an example in case I was unclear (apologies if you understood).
The .teaa file shown here[te4.org] at the right is just -tirakai.teaa, but when you click on the version name instead and are taken here[te4.org] where the download link correctly names it tome-tirakai.teaa.

Ah, sorry, when I initially started typing that your comment was different. Hopefully the information will be useful to someone else.
