Wow, this is a total ripoff of Elona
It looks like the exact same engine except with different text and pictures. I know Elona is some random Japanese made indie game, but come on, this is just down right lazy if you guys just copied the game and are selling it now on steam.

Elona is isometric this isn't. G8 b8m8?
Melusca Nov 27, 2014 @ 12:59pm
I don't really see the similarity besides them both being roguelikes. It's like saying Braid or Limbo totally ripped off Super Mario because they're platformers.

And roguelikes are way, way older than Elona.

I love Elona Plus, I watch a LP of it on YouTube and I don't think they're that similar at all. Besides, Elona has that japanese charm that no other roguelike has, this one included. The only similarity I can think of right now is that both are roguelikes.

Uh... What? Elona is not isometric.

Dont feed the troll guys.

True that, Dekar.

There are humans, orcs, elves, dwarves, undead. Also, levelling and abilities you use with numbered buttons. Clearly a WoW ripoff.

It isn't pinpointing the lack of culture of some gamers, but it pinpoints their superficially to throw stuff on forum without a single simple basic verification.

Or OP is just spaming to talk about some crap JRPG.

Must be the first option then, because Elona's not a JRPG and is, IMHO, one of the best roguelikes around. It's a different kind of roguelike compared to ToME, for sure, but it's much more hilarious and nonsensical.
It's probably not for the anime and japanese culture haters who throw around hateful speech and pathetic insults like "weeaboo" and ♥♥♥♥ like that, but for everyone else it's a blast to play.

Ha ha a Japanized kid that grown adult. Yeah my post was harsh, and I well worth your bash.

Humor in RPG, I hate it, it's right like bad French SF, unable to manage it really so you end with bad SF and bad humor. And for referential "jokes" there's no humor most of the time just pointless and out of topic references. Some people like such artificial elements, I don't.

At least you admit your post was harsh, but calling me a "japanized kid grown adult" isn't helping anyone, you know. FYI, I enjoy both western and japanese games, I just happen to enjoy the japanese ones better, because I grew up watching and playing similar games. It's just a matter of preference, so I find the term you used to describe me pretty offensive.

Alright, that's your opinion, and I completely disagree with it. BTW, I'm just replying because your post in the "Is this the best roguelike?" thread seemed civil enough. I hope I'm not gravely mistaken.

Why bother answer a post you feel unacceptable? Next time tune down your paladin mentality and just ignore. You are prompt to judge and deduce I bet, isn't it? :-)

For humor, thankfully tastes and references are diverse otherwise it would be awfully boring. So we'll agree to disagree on that.

Now you're trying to tell me what to do? You're not a mod, y'know. But yeah, you're right, I was gonna ignore the "japanized" thing but I tend to (naturally) get pretty pissed off when people offend others for no reason whatsoever. I don't understand what you mean by "You are prompt to judge and deduce", though. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but that was so blatantly offensive that I felt I had to make that clear. I'm sorry if you think I'm judging you... If I were, I probably wouldn't even be replying.

Yup, I guess we'll agree to disagree then, haha :)

An advice is just an advice, it's free and never mandatory and yeah advices can be wrong. :-) About misjudging, my words perhaps get further than I would, it was just a second advice hidden in the main advice and with a form of teasing, at least that was the purpose.

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm aware you were giving me advice, but I'm having a very stressful day (studying for finals and noisy neighbours making my life miserable) and I ended up getting pretty harsh there too. Again, I'm sorry.

I suggest a mod deletes this thread though (Dekar, are you still here?), OP's clearly a troll trying to get some attention... And people are clearly taking the bait, myself included.
