And roguelikes are way, way older than Elona.
Uh... What? Elona is not isometric.
Or OP is just spaming to talk about some crap JRPG.
It's probably not for the anime and japanese culture haters who throw around hateful speech and pathetic insults like "weeaboo" and ♥♥♥♥ like that, but for everyone else it's a blast to play.
Humor in RPG, I hate it, it's right like bad French SF, unable to manage it really so you end with bad SF and bad humor. And for referential "jokes" there's no humor most of the time just pointless and out of topic references. Some people like such artificial elements, I don't.
Alright, that's your opinion, and I completely disagree with it. BTW, I'm just replying because your post in the "Is this the best roguelike?" thread seemed civil enough. I hope I'm not gravely mistaken.
For humor, thankfully tastes and references are diverse otherwise it would be awfully boring. So we'll agree to disagree on that.
Yup, I guess we'll agree to disagree then, haha :)
I suggest a mod deletes this thread though (Dekar, are you still here?), OP's clearly a troll trying to get some attention... And people are clearly taking the bait, myself included.
