About being a donator...
I was playing and saw some things that are only available to "donators". So, since I bought the game am I considered one? Or do I have to fork over more money to get access to these things? I'm not really upset or anything, I mean heck, I'd probably throw some more money down because I enjoy the game that much. It's just a question of pure curiosity.

I think Steam owners are considered donators. Have you been to the Fortress yet and checked out the Item Vault?

Yeah, I was able to deposit something into it, but couldn't withdraw it for an hour. So I'm not sure if I can do that or not yet, since I died shortly after in that sandworm cave lol...
But that's what had me wondering about this, since I am pretty sure there is a class only available to donators too. I didn't want it to be restricted for me =/

So you are a donator then, since you can use the Item Vault.
The donator only class right now is Stone Warden (might change soon), you need to be a Dwarf to use it.

Most stuff in the game donator or not is unlocked by playing and getting achievments etc etc.

You have to be a donator to unlock female dwarf beards, also the dwarf only class stone warden, if you buy on steam you are a donater.

To summarize:

Buying on Steam makes you a donator.
Even as a donator, many things still have to be unlocked through playing.
Some of the updates (DLC) are not included.

But can I be a donator if I buy the key of this game not on Steam?
Erikkustrife Jul 16, 2015 @ 12:07pm
errr.....hmmm
@dude so when you start the game you can log into your majeyal account, if you donated or bought the game anyware it sohuld count, considering the game is normaly free.

Note that the Steam version is not part of the donator features, and I don't think you get it for free if you buy a key from a different seller like gog.com.

Sorry to unburry this thread but i'd like to know if Steam buyers are actualy "donators" or not.

As mentioned above, Steam buyers are considered donators, and have access to donator features. You get 3 vault slots, which is equal to donating $6, even if you bought it for less than that on sale.

You can always donate more to get more vault slots, and I think getting the DLC goes towards your donation total as well.

Thanks Tryble.
