4 pack?

What is the purpose of the 4 pack if there is no multiplayer mode or cooperative? Is it just there as a deal or am I missing something?

I have the same question. I can't figure out what is in the 4-pack. It looks like just the game. So I can buy the game or spend even more money to buy... the game?

It's the same as other 4 packs; the intent is to gift the extra copies.

Or to split the cost with three other people and get a bit of a discount.

And the game has chat, so you can talk to your friends while you play. Kinda like playing with them :)

I'm a little baffled at the negativity at having a bulk discount deal. If you don't have the friends to get the bulk discount with that doesn't make it less generous and it definitely isn't useless.

I concur. The 4 pack is a very generous deal on an amazing game that is already a great deal to begin with. If noly more devs could be so generous with their buying options and prices. And as stated above, the game does connect to a main server with a global online chat system while playing solo. So it does have a fun social aspect as well.

Buying a 4 pack of this game and gifting copies to friends would be doing them a great service introducing them to a fantastic game well worth their time.

I was going to purchase the four pack and gift them all to friends but I cannot. I already own it and it won't allow me to do so =(.

Unfortunately that's a problem with the steam store, not this particular product. I've tried to do so on multiple other games from past steam sales, but if you own the game first you cannot buy any four-packs. It sucks but, it's up to steam to change how its store-front works.

Oh my god, the meaning was so obvious that's why I missed it... I'm so used to bundles of DLC and expansions... thanks for the clarification.

Anybody else buy this thinking it was the game +3 DLCs? I hope they give me a refund. (edit: refunded an hour later. surprisingly fast)

(in my defense, it was listed for sale right under a "3-pack" of the base game + the first two DLCs.)
