Some time ago i have a challenge with my bikini adventure hafling on nm/rq. Dropped the game after ~35 levels of hero. Just got bored. I won on insane/rq, won as yeek on nm/rq, and feel like bikini challenge not so hard even for nightmare/rq.
if you interested to see my bikini adventure look there

he doing decent damage, and with some good equip can beat this game.
It was on Nightmare too, had some crazy close calls too. IMO, I think any Class that doesn't solely rely on Melee/Armor should be able to do it. Personally I think classes like Archmage and Summoner/Necromancer would be a great choice, between all the spells/utilities.
As for Race, I'd think about doing Shalore, Skeleton, Ghoul, Ogre or for some builds Cornac. Personally, I'm just going to wait until I unlock Adventurer Class and then try Bikini mode as that. Funny how I've basically unlocked everything and get to the Final Fight 90% of the time yet still die somehow lol.
Yeah a new Race they added for free. IMO, it would be a solid choice since they specialize in using Runes and Infusions, which can easily save your life. Plus they tend to be relatively beefy and have an affinity towards magic classes. However they can also wield Two Handed weapons in one hand, allowing you to use a Greatsword + Shield or Battleaxe + Shield which can be really useful if you want to try a Melee Class.
Though you should probably take everything I say with a grain of salt. Even after 100+ hours, I still consider myself a relative Newbie at ToME lol. I mean, I have yet to beat the game because I always end up making some stupid mistake.
Could it be their addition to the game wasn't mentioned in the patch note or did I simply miss the line that said they were added?
A new race was revealed, a fruit of a long-standing war. Check what contemporary documents in the old halfling ruins might say.
Extra infusion slot? Fast cooling down infusion/rune use? Two hander wielded as a one hander?
So much potential in survivability and flexibility.
Paradox Mages have so many damage mitigation options that it feels like the class was tailor made for this challenge.
