DOUBLE STEAM POWER!!
I have a second steam generator on my tinker I was gonna replace my original with... But then I started wondering.

Can you have two steam generator implants at once, and have them both function as normal?

Sure can, works great.

Yes you can have 2 Steam implants going at once and gain the aggregate Steam Gain per turn. So if you have one that gives 5 Steam a turn and another that gives 6 Steam, you'll get 11 Steam per turn.

However you can only have a max of 2 per type of implant/infusion/rune. So only 2 Steam generators, 2 Injectors, 2 Runes of Shielding etc.

IMO, use the first Cat point you get at level 10 to grab another inscription slot and use 2 Steam Generators ASAP on any Tinker Class.

When I use 2 steam generator at once, the production of the first is substracted from the second. I have two saves now with negative steam production.

Are, uh.... Are you sure about that? When I used two, they were simply added together.

Agreed. Too many powerful sustains that you won't have the steam to use if you don't use this - at least on the Gunslinger. Plus the Gunslinger unlock categories kinda suck. Pretty easy choice.

I haven't played Sawbutcher so I can't speak on that... but this is a lot less necessary on the Psyshot. Gestalt takes care of your needs there and the unlock categories are much stronger.

it sucks that this is happening to you :/ This is a bug that certain users are experiencing. I'd report it on the forums if you haven't yet.

This was a bug. Some events caused you to get less steam per turn. For example my sawbutcher had about 11 steam per turn in the end of the Maj'Eyal campaing. According to tooltips th real value was supposed to be 36. According to patch released today the bug should be fixed.
