Simply choose a nickname, and then find one of the five of us in channel. We need to know your in-game username, and you need to be in-game, playing tome online, with the character you wish fixed.

If you're using the mibbit link, ignore the 'idle' status on many users. It's overly sensitive, and the five of us drift in and out fairly regularly, if available. While we may not get to you right away, we'll get to you as soon as possible. If possible, send a private message to us to get our attention faster, as if we are gone for a long enough period, logs may lose your original message. For those not familiar with IRC in general, any message containing our name blinks our client to get our attention, and making sure to mention our name in your request should get you noticed faster.

If you cannot reach a moderator with these previous steps, stuntofthelitter maintains a site where you can submit your save to be fixed, and he can fix a much wider array of problems. Fiddling with the graphics settings should fox that; it's an old glitch on some cards. Sorry, not in front of my PC or I could be more specific.

Depending on what exactly you're seeing, that may be normal - one of the starting zones has an alternate form that turns it into a swamp, with lots of water around.

I have the exact same problem. It's clearly a graphical glitch as the same exact terrain coords suddenly switch from grass to water as I walk by -- there is a certain threshold when I walk around when I trigger it. It makes for very confusing gameplay at times, which is a shame, I love this game and have played it on and off for years.

Yeah, disabling shaders does the trick. Unfortunately that creates new problems -- the grid becomes visible in black lines, and the interface is mucked -- dialogue boxes overlap with dialogue options, for one, and half of the talent and stat boxes (when levelling up) are covered by greyness, on the other.

Hello! I'm encountering a strange bug where my mouse cursor no longer appears. It was visible the first time I launched the game, and has since turned invisible.

There's still a mouse presence, as I sometimes see things highlighted when I move the mouse around, but I can't see it. Restarting the game/computer has not helped, nor has toggling the custom/default cursor setting under Video Options.

I'm on Windows 8.1, for the record.

How can I fix this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I disabled "use tilesets" and that worked for me.

Oh I was referring to what I did to fix a problem I had that I posted about earlier, sorry if I looked like I had a solution for you. I do not know how I would fix your problem.

hey, I've got a writhing one that got hit with a "hateful whispers" curse that is preventing him from leaving the fortress, and isn't going away. it is somehow in the negative 1800s, and doesn't seem to be removed by anything, how do I get rid of this???

Noob question but how can i check if it uses integrated graphics or my nvidia one? And how do i switch between them? Can't find anything like that in video options of the game.

You set it (per program) in Windows Settings:

You can see what GPU is being used per app in Task Manager (Ctril-Alt-Del or[/o] Ctrl-Shift-Esc).

nan. / XYZ life - why do i keep getting this instead of my actual life points display on the hud? shows up as 0 / XYZ on the char sheet. My character cleary still has life and the hud resets to normal after receiving a heal.

I have an odd issue on Ubuntu Linux (latest version).

FIRST time I start the game, every time, the OS does a popup, "Program tales of maj eyal is not responding [wait] [close app]". But the program IS running fine behind it. I can click wait and play just fine. However, since the popup reappears every 10 seconds or so, that's not practical.

Luckily, if I quit the game (with the quit button, not with close app), next time I start, everything will work fine and there is no popup.

On rare occasions the popup comes the second time I start the game too. It may happen more often if I've taken a long break and the computer has gone into power saving mode.

ToME is the ONLY application/game I've found that has this issue. I suspect ToME does something unusual with OS threads on startup or something?
