How you play Alchemist Well ?
Golem can't survive long at Dread Tower tier dungeon.
Seems like it mainly serve as distraction but die really fast.
Alchemy comb damage sometimes feel not quick enough due to CD

Alchemist is pretty much considered to be one of the weakest classes out there. The Golem is pretty much worthless as a tank past starting game and your bombs dont do enough damage without a lot of work.

Alchemist is actually good, people just find the class boring. Guides are often terrible outdated, best way is to check the character vault and search for winners with these conditions: roguelike, insane, alchemist, maj'yeal, only official addons. Then check what they used. Here is one example:

Yeah, all you need is the one point in Golem Portal. Camp the golem, on the stairs and use him to teleport out of any danger.
Wow that sounds depressing for a pet class, especially compared to stuff like dogs, shadows or WTW.
Dang, sad to hear but the comment are kinda logical.
If player spend more points to own power will surely better than invest into half-baked golem

Yes, alchemist golem is considered the worst "pet" to fight with. WtW is often labeled as the "how golem should be" pet =) But alchemist golem is still quite usefull. Golem portal itself is worth it's weight in gold. It's just that the golem won't normaly do much in a fight after the early/mid game. That doesn't mean the alchemist class is weak.
Alch has been pretty op since 1.6. Even 1 point into the golem tree is a mark of shame. Just pin/disarm/stone the monster and you're good to go

You literally have nowhere else to spend your points. Look at that profile linked. Didn't get any talent points elixirs, and he even fully levelled the final talents of the fire tree.

You're not wrong, only 2 of my 6 alch wins skipped the golem tree, but I don't play them too much. Those fire daamge talents are pretty good to max tho, fire storm got buffed by 50% in 1.6. So you can tele in, flash freeze, and start off burning them. Another alch tip is if you don't have a ton of lightning or acid damage/have a ton of dark/light, use pendant

The final trees in Fire, Ice and Energy Alchemy give you some decent resistances and other benefits, though they take 100 mana each to sustain. But as you can see in the winner, he pumped Willpower, so he had quite a bit of mana. Aside from that there are a few more pseudo defensive talents, like Smoke Bomb, Flash Freeze and Caustic Mine that protect you more through battlefield control. Gem Portal as another escape. Life tap if you're willing to put points into Advanced Golemancy,. though that doesn't seem to be such a good idea. Racials, depending on which race you took.

Other than that, the plan with Alchemist is to kill enemies from a distance before they can get close to you. But they do have a noted lack of defense. There's a reason their recommended prodigies are Ethereal Form and Cauterize and why they are generally considered a bad class.

Unlocking survival at 34 is good. His defense is just killing from range, so most monsters are worthless. Melee can't do anything since you keep them pinned and disarmed. It's mostly Ano and Archmage that can hurt you. Just take two defensive prodigies and you're good. You want to have a torque that can cleanse silence, too. Tele rune is good if you have something like wanderer's rest, or if you're a ghoul or skeleton. If not, movement will probably help you out more. You can already leash the golem to a tile at the entrance and teleport back to him. Alch has been pretty op since 1.6 so you'll prob win if you reach your first prod
