embers of rage ritch hive - stralite sand shredder question

Hi, I entered ritch hive and got a message that I'll need stralite sand shredder equipped to dig through sand. However I don't see it in my inventory nor do I see it equipped. Perhaps I've transmogrified it without knowing? Is there any way to complete ritch hive without it? Or do I have it and somehow don't see it? or can I create another one or get it again somehow?

It's a plot item, so you can't drop it or transmogrify it. It's also a hands tinker and will automatically equip to your gloves if you don't have a tinker attached to them already.

Yes, it gets autoequipped when you first get it. I often equip something else instead until going for Ritch Hive, as its only effect is to burrow through sand at speed of walking. So the reminder you got is in order..
You could also complete the dungeon without one - if you are a Whitehoof or have air producing tinker or some item turning you into undead. Then you can just burrow manually. Or if you have several teleport-type talents.
Still, the Shredder makes this much simpler.. ;)
