roguelike keys addon

hello, just installed this addon both ingame as well as manually, but cannot get it to work. can somebody help me? i don't want to carpal tunnel myself into oblivion

Download addon (whichever way you prefer) -> make sure it's enabled in the main menu -> make/load a character -> esc -> game options -> [ZOmnibus] tab -> click the "roguelike keys" option to enable them

To expand on Moasseman's comment:

• Generally, only addons that are installed and enabled at the time a character is created are available to that character. (There's a way around that, but it involves editing the savefile and doesn't work for all addons.)
  
• Fortunately, that's not necessary for Roguelike Keybindings, since its one job is to manipulate key bindings, which are saved separately and shared across all characters. For your case, it should be sufficient to create a new character with this addon enabled and install the roguelike keybindings via the "[ZOmnibus] | Roguelike keybindings" game option; those key bindings will then be used for all your other current and future characters (unless you change them later, of course), whether or not they have this addon installed.
