Steam Client not found

Hey guys, just got the game and I love it, but since yesterday I haven't been able to log in with Steam. As other topics suggested, I've launched the game several times though Steam and not by an .exe or shortcut. Can't reclaim my achievements because even tho I can log in with steam into the website, I can't do it through the game...

I know this is an old thread (found it on search looking for solutions) but the same thing has been happening to me all morning. I logged in and it was fine one minute, exited the game and when I reloaded it didn't come up automatically logged in like normal but was presented with the connect via steam button or whatever its called. I clicked it and got 'steam client not found'.

Only thing I did differently was that forbidden cults hasn't been showing up in my list of DLC (even though I own it and in game says it's installed) so clicked on the button at the bottom left to see if it would then 'register' so to speak.

I've tried all the usual restarting the game, then restarting the steam client itself and the game, verifying game integrity (which I know has nothing to do with the issue but thought I might as well).

Have to head off to work now but I hope it sorts itself out because I really like the chat/achievements thing showing in a single player game :)

Since there isn't much info in this error on the whole, I'll include an update.

Like OP's situation it started working again. So anyone else that comes across this just give it a few - or maybe up to several - hours and it should come good.

Same thing happened to me today and all this helped. I just resumed playing and after few hours it could connect to my profile again.

Reviving old thread because I am now running into this. New computer, fresh install of steam and TOME. Cant log in through client, but web login is fine. Guess I will check again later..

Make sure that there are no spaces in your account name on the tome site. It worked for me, as I recall.

There isnt a space in my name. Was able to login once but none of the unlocks showed when I went to make a new character. Now I"m back to not being able to login at all. Sadge.

Edit: Was able to log back in and make a new character with all unlocks shown, so...fixed? I guess?
