When you're in the game, as that trapped character, say in chat "Is there a dev or admin online? My character is trapped due to a bug and/or glitch, and I need a warp to the worldmap."
I know most mods and admins have an alert beep on their IRC tuned to the word "glitch" and/or "admin", and if they're online, they have a yellow/red-account-only chat command or something of that ilk that sends your current character to the world map. That's probably the simplest solution. You could alter save files, but that might just make things worse, so try the in-game chat first.
