Searching for a Beginners Guide

Hello Community,

I've been searching for a helpful Guide that gets me into the game whilst explaining me the basics. As I come from Tabletop RPG's and Oldschool RPG's, I do get the System behind it.
It's just that I do not get the Core Mechanics, such as what do I need to lookout for - What should I wear as a Warrior and such.
I've searched for such a Guide pretty often, but I haven't found a proper one yet, which is why I am asking you guys, if you ever stumbled across a Guide that helped you out a lot, as a Beginner.

Many beginners' run end due to wrong area progression.
Make sure check out the T1 dungeons until DreadFall

Hey Archmage, not sure if you plan on doing anymore recording of ToME but -

Go Video Options>Mouse Cursor>Disable to get the mouse cursor to be captured in recording.
