Android port?
Any update on an android ETA? I've found some really old threads online, but nothing recent enough to give me any idea on if or when this game will be available on mobile.

its a side project, so not for a while
DG essentially works on it when hes bored
Honestly, Android version would be so great to have around. The game is really time devouring monster, and usually it's very hard to find enough time to play it, but with cross-platform saves it would be so much easier to find some time to run a couple of dungeons.
My phone has too small of a screen, I want a Switch port.

It is not benched, I do spend time now and then rewriting the display code (necessary step for a future port).

As for switch I hear they support opengl, so who knows (obviously this is absolutely no promises :) )
Thank you for your reply about this topic DarkGod. I would gladly support a funding project on this. This game would be awesome to havve on Android/etc.
Frankly it would be a bit unwieldy, but simply allowing both pinch-zoom AND free scrolling would make the small screen of a phone workable. Tablets, of course, would have little issue anyway.
Yeah I wouldnt neccesarily pick this up on my phone (unless some major screen size optimisations were done). However my tablet would be another matter....to be honest, having a little kiddo, busy work schedule and family life generally makes it harder for me to grab time to sit around in front of a PC playing stuff. Something like this on mobile though? Sold big time...
but yeah...glad you are still working on it DG. Any rough idea when you think you would have aport up and running? Even Alpha/Beta?

Sure thing, 1DGTU ! :)
@DarkGod Any news? Been itching for an update on this :)
@DarkGod - I would absolutely buy a Switch port. No questions asked. Of note: their are literally tons of games being ported to the Switch and the console itself is a winner and a big seller these days. It's the only console I have bought for quite some time at any rate. I would likely buy an Android port as well (I don't do Apple.. ever).

FYI - I've been singing ToME's praises for years on my other favorite game's (Grim Dawn) forums.

It's a diablo-like and a popular one at that and I've been a playtester for the game for a couple years now. By far my most favorite class to play in ToME is the Stone Warden and for years now I have bugged the Crate developers to make a Dual-Shield mastery in Grim Dawn and repeatedly referenced ToME as a result of its awesomeness. They actually did consider it for me! Alas, the programmers determined that it would take more work than they wanted to do to make Dual-Shielding possible in the game engine :(

I tried at least. Just imagine tho how insanely awesome a Stone Warden would be in a real-time diablo-like environment, Stone Vines shooting out, smashing mobs with 2 frikkin' shields etc. Yeah. Not hard to see how good it would be at all.
Grim Dawn is an excellent game in its own right, indeed. It's actually my favorite Diablo-like game (including the Diablo series), although I don't play it any more.

Android port is not forgotten, it still needs me to finish the graphical code rewrite though and I've been busy with 1.6 and *unannounced expansion* sadly :/ Good news is IIRC the switch uses plain opengl so heh who knows!
Warning, this post is not akin to any kind of promises whatsoever ;)
Hey DG - do you plan to sell game on Androids/mobiles also?
It should be good source of income to further support development (or am I in dreamscape?)

Well if I ever manage to do/finish the port yeah, that's the only way to justify all the work needed ;)
