Anyone know how to save edit / cheatengine to get another life?

So I played last on my primary file after I had a few too many, and lost a couple lives. Bad idea, anyone know how to save edit / cheatengine fix this?

Good luck, I haven't had any luck finding a way to edit a save. I just want to swap a prodigy out for another one. The one I picked isn't very useful..

Copy your save file folder and then try poking around in the folder using your favorite text editor on files (some of the files can be unzipped as well, even ones that don't have ".zip" in the extension).

I see now, didn't know you could unzip them. Since the files within look like plain text I'm surprised I didn't find a save editor online.
