How to save citizens of Derth?
Hi everyone. How to save citizens of Derth?I have tried different classes (time warden, wilder with lightning reflexes and several speed ifusions etc.) but elementals one shot them. Is this even possible? As soon as i move in they start to kill 78 hp citizens and one shot them. Same with Ben the Cursed. He starts in the far end of the village and instantly one shots lumberjack as soon as I move one step. But if I don't use precognition I can't even find them in time.

Common tactic is to dig the trees around the entrance and move all the citizens to said area before the storm invades Derth. (You can move them one tile at a time by walking to their position, which will them get shifted with yours.)

The elementals only spawn in the center part of the map I believe, so if you move all of the citizens they should be out of sight from any elementals once you go back to Derth, and you will have an easy time.

About doing it in a non-sketchy way, I have no idea though.

I think it is actually easier to do in higher difficulties since a lot of villagers/lumberjacks could generate as not-so-squishy rares and possibly even kill enemies themselves. With Ben I also think teleport is more effective than movement infusions, since you usually have to move through lumberjacks and it always counts as full turn. Also I believe there was a cheesy way where you dig to corner and herd all Derth villagers there beforehand.

I remember doing that. It was probably the least fun I had playing Tome. I drown a couple of them for revenge sometimes.

Is the same possible for Ben?Move citizens near the exit?I think not because he starts to kill them as soon as you enter.

Yeah, you can't enter the zone before without Ben killing everyone inside, so no :/

As for Ben, if you play on madness some of the lumberjacks might be randbosses, and one of them might kill ben before he kills any of them. I've seen people get that achievement on madness while I was playing before. On lower difficulties, all you can do is immediately use a teleport and hope you get lucky.

You mean teleport that has range 120 tiles, not phase door?I think first is uncontrollable, but I may be wrong.

Archmage, Necromancer, Shadowblade and Arcane Blade have controlled teleport and most of them also have instant arcane eye to check where Ben is, so they're likely the best bet.
