Ring of Dead and Blood of Life in Adventure mode?

Do these take effect the next time you die or only when you have no lives left? I am fighting the final bosses and trying to figure it out - I don't think I've died and been healed to full life at any point but I may have missed it. Died twice already and worried I'm not going to win.

Blood of life and ring of the dead only activate if you have no eidolon lives. When they trigger, it fully heals you and immediately puts you back in the same place, with all your sustains turned off and still having stuff on cooldown. If they trigger it is usually best to try to run away before getting yourself back in fighting condition. Remember though that if you use an eidolon life, all nearby enemies are also fully healed, so if you are losing lifes on the final boss fight you are likely to not win in any case, especially if you didn't close the portals and are letting additional enemies accumulate.

Also note that if you use the life from the ring of the dead, it destroys the ring entirely.

Thanks! but I'm not sure how to close the portals? And I am def getting crushed by them.


Just died again, guy keeps teleporting and at this point the whole

stage is dark so there's no way to see where he went. Pretty screwed.

To close a portal, look at the name of the portal. It should correspond to the name of one of the orbs you got from the pride leaders. Stand on that portal then go into your inventory and use the proper orb.
