Shadow crypt
Hi everyone! How to clear shadow crypt on nightmare and above?Dungeon starts at lvl 24,while all enemies in it are lvl 38-40,and some of them are rares with steam saws and steam guns. Is it possible to avoid dark crypt and visit it later?

Shadow Crypt or Dark Crypt? They're different zones. I would just skip Dark Crypt, honestly. If that's not appealing to you, there's a mod that lets you enter it when you want to.

Dark crypt. There you need to save Melinda. So it is very unlikely to beat this zone on insane or madness at lvl 24?I tried on nightmare and saw wielding lvl 40 elf one shotted my char. Btw how to instal this mod?

The Crypt of Kryl'Feijan, aka, the Dark Crypt, is a one time dungeon that appears at level 24. Some of the Mage enemies inside make heavy use of 'blight' damage, while other elements may be used somewhat as well.

Your best bet for beating the dungeon is to stock up on Blight Resistance gear or make use of damage reduction abilities (such as from Wild Infusions) to help buffer against Blight Attacks. Diving down floors is perhaps advisable when you find them; using abilities like Track can also help you avoid fighting enemies as well.

In regards to the Rares, they can be there or not; but if you are having trouble with Embers of Rage rares, I think you can deactivate the DLC. That will prevent you from making use of Embers of Rage content though, so only do this if you really have a problem with those rares.

It is very very dangerous on insane, so in most cases you probably aren't going to beat it, at least without burning through multiple lives, due to how many enemies are packed in close together and how much they outlevel you, plus corruptors do very high damage. It usually happens in a few steps on the world map once you are 24, so about the only way to face it at a higher level is to enter Dreadfell at 23 so you are a few higher levels when you come out, but that's a low level to do dreadfell on insane.

I would suggest skipping dark crypt unless your character is capable of multiple turns of invulnerability. Shalore SP comes to mind.
On Nightmare, Alchemist is still strong enough to room-clear in one hit, no baddies to worry about. On Insane and higher, DPS often isn't enough, you need Insane (hah hah) survivability to do it. So... Archmage, and maybe SP, and maybe Oozemancer. Just because something exists, doesn't mean it needs to be done.

This mode doesn't work. May be it is outdated.I managed to clear it with Ghoul paladin but still burned 1 life because of insane crits on 1 pack of creatures.Blocked 1 salvo with blight resistance shield someone stunned me and blocked my teleportation rune. 2nd salvo triggered my 2nd life and something finished my char by melee crit.

Because of invisibility? But can't they find you? They are 27-28 lvl higher than your char in this zone.

My strategy was to rush/path of light to eleven doom bringer or guard before they block use brandish, block, wait for retribution kill all or use teleportation rune to escape if someone survives.Likely it would've not be possible without sanguine blood (shield with 250 block and 30%) blight resist.

By using flash of the blade. 2H > 1H + shield.

Sad to hear this.... I just downloaded it.
Nobody had a positive experience with that mod in 1.5.5 ?
And would it unlock the achivements if it somehow worked ?

It wouldn't lock them. Not sure that there is a mod that works with newest version of the game. Btw I have managed to clear this crypt on nightmare hardcore, though had to overlevel in Master crypt (but it was quite hard and tricky). Used human paladin to lvl up fast and had a tanky 1-hd build centered around light damage and blight resist. With the same build it is possible to clear even insanity hardcore I think, had almost no troubles on nightmare.

In past week I beat DC on Insane with:

Cornac Alchemist (with Tinker skills)
https://te4.org/characters/35987/tome/4e0c4491-498f-48b4-b78f-e800efcac2ad

Skeleton Archer (with Tinker skills)
https://te4.org/characters/35987/tome/b948d390-ec16-4788-b6e4-d9da967f5f3e

Yeek Solipsist (with Tinker skills)
https://te4.org/characters/35987/tome/774e8996-3faf-4c40-979c-96f9d2c1b76b

The main thing in DC to ensure yout survivability is ability to plan your action.
You need Track - without it you are most likely fail.
Also, if you have Earth's Eyes or artefact helmet with it - it doubled (or at least x1.5) usefulness of Track.
Also your charcter should have some means of defence against burs damage, also stun resist of ability to remove debuff (one infusion is never enough), Yeek Solipsist had 97% stun resist and wasnt stunned even once there.
Your strategy - get all avialable info about your surroundings and enemies with Track and Earth's Eyes if you have it.
Then pick the least dangerous enemies or groups of enemies, and eliminate them, because fight with dangerous enemy might require running all around lvl, so they are the last.
Pick fights in a way, that you will fight with only separate group.
If by unfortunate chaine of events you triggered whole level (it happened with me few times) them you most likely fail, or you need durable class that can withstand lond fights, like e.g Solipsist, Paradox Mage or Psyshot.

Also, as was noted before - postpone visit to DC as possible, I usually enter Dreadfell when I almost got 24 lvl.
Also, when you leave Dreadfell, go to nearest location like Mark of Spellblaze or Conclaive Vault or Daikara, sometimes you are able to reach them without triggering DC, that mean you are most likely win DC.

"Melinda on the Map" still works for me in 1.5.10 - get it on the TOME website or get it here in the workshop. (this is reference to someone talking about a mod that lets you access it whenever you want instead of being dropped it automatically at the required level)

(similar still-working mods exists for the trap door, etc.)

PS - sorry for necro, as I am currently rolling a Shadow Blade.
