Chances against big golem
Hi everyone, how many chances has paladin against big golem at the graveyard? Is it a good idea to try it at lvl 50 with top possible gear and infusions?Or paladin is a bad class to face big golem? If I stack fire res up to 70 and hardiness up to 90 can I try?I play shield+1 h paladin build.

Atomathon is the 2nd strongest creature in the game. If you had a safe and easy time with the final boss, you should be okay, but if it was stressful, Atomathon could be quite dangerous.

But there's not much to do, so... You might as well try, unless you like having a trophy character.

But here's a free tip: Top possible gear isn't. As a sunpally, you're not using Spellhunt, since it's antimagic. Thus, whatever gauntlets you have on... Are worthless versus Atomathon. Before you fght him, check every single shop, and look for Gloves of Dispersion. I think they're minimum blue rarity, but can also be purple. I don't care if they're leather T1 and you have a nice unique artifact T5 glove, switch them.

Because you WILL need them. The only people who don't, are people running Spellhunt, and brawlers (who will often run Spellhunt for the fight anyways). He has magic status buffs and sustains you NEED to remove, or you WILL die (as a non-demonologist, those guys are immortal).

That's my advice, and... good luck!

But that is the point in this boss in this case if you absolutely need a certain piece of gear to have a chance? So if I don't have any ways to remove sustains (most classes don't I think) I have literally 0 chance?Or may be there is a strategy of some kind to deal with golem without removing sustains?Well of course it is possible to take prodigy and one shot big golem but I think it is kinda a waste.

Atamathon and Linaniil are basically extremely difficult post-game battles for bragging rights. Don't try them before the final boss on roguelike mode.

The reason you need to be able to remove sustains is he will put a buff on himself called reflective skin, which will reflect back at you a large percentage of the damage you deal to him. And since he'll have many times the hp you do, this means you can't kill him without killing yourself.

You don't need spellhunts, gloves of dispersion will do fine. Magic is better against magic than antimagic is L U L
