The adept prodigy does not affect/improve the thick skin talent

That's normal, thick skin is based on raw talent level, not effective TL. That's why it doesn't give more to classes with 1.3 mastery compared to those with 1.0 mastery

Actually adept add 1.5 raw talent level to all, hence 1.3 mastery will make it ~1.8 effective lvl instead.

I'd like to think it doesn't affect thick skin only for balance reasons. It could also be due to the prodigy requiring 5 pts of thick skin.

Adept does not add raw levels. It adds 1.5 * mastery effective levels.
