I am glad to see there is some interest for this game again from the developers.
If you are truly interested in figuring out why the game keeps getting poor reviews, then all that you need to do is to read those very same reviews. The most common theme is that it keeps crashing on Windows 10.
Since you were interested in input from new buyers, I bought it since it has been in my Steam wishlist for a while, waiting for it to be fixed according to the reviews. For me, the game doesn't always load past the initial screen and when it does, it usually only runs for a few minutes before crashing due to either Direct X texture/skin errors or just freezing up entirely.
Glad to hear, thanks
Do you think it is better to make new original one or re-design this one
We understand this issue, but this is due to engine limitations. This can be solved if the game is re-designed on Unity or Unreal. This is our main problem, or choice if you want to call it like this.. either to make it on Unity or make a new one (twist) of the game and add new features, gameplay elements,, & yes the map :)
We really would like you & most of the fans to help us make a final decision.
Maybe if you would fix it up so it can work with Windows 10....
Such Greenlight titles are one of the reasons Steam had to give up and start giving out refunds.
The peak has only been 55 players playing at once and that was near the release day. It quickly dropped to 1-3 players.
I can't even start it beyond that point.
Setting Windows 7 and Administrator mode on the two game executables fixed ithe Windows 10 startup freeze for me. I haven't had any in-game crashes, so it may fix that problem as well:
- RIGHT-click on Guise of the Wolf in in your list of games, and select PROPERTIES.
- Select the LOCAL FILES tab, then BROWSE LOCAL FILES
- Open the GAME folder
- Set the two Guise of the Wolf files to Windows 7 and Run as Administrator compatibility mode:
- RIGHT click and select PROPERTIES
- Select the COMPATIBILITY tab.
- Check the box to run in COMPATIBILITY MODE, and set it to Windows 7.
- Check the box to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
- Click OK.
The game should launch properly now.
