What other RPG games like this do you guys recommend?
I like you can take your time doing stuff and the mouse alone is enough to play, so I can hold my little dude in one arm and play with the other.

Hidden Object games are like what you describe, and maybe your little dude would like to help spotting stuff.

Check out the devs Artifex Mundi and Five-BN Games for games with a good interface. Whether you like shiny or dark you can decide from the screenshots, and see if you care for or even like the stories.

Not exactly the same as the Hero of the Kingdom series (they have more games), but with hunting for eggs and stuff that game even falls into the same category.

Thanks will take a look at those. Do they have RPG elements like hero of the kingdom? Which of those games did you like the most?

If you don't mind backtracking without a fast travel map:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/284730/Dark_Arcana_The_Carnival/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/284710/Abyss_The_Wraiths_of_Eden/
Could be a bit too spooky for your little dude, not sure.

Newer and with fast travel map, also crime story rather than Fantasy:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/756500/Noir_Chronicles_City_of_Crime/

I don't actually see RPG elements in Hero of the Kingdom. You do follow some story in from some character's viewpoint in the standard Hidden Object games.

Thanks for these, but HofK is more point and click and not as much hidden objects. RPG elements include getting weapons and skilsl that make the MC stronger to fight against enemies, bound by some kind of narrative with a few npcs here and there to give you quests or tasks.

I think these guys have a pretty unique game, they should invest in making more of the same genre in different settings.

Yes, it's not bad, it's nice they didn't go with the weird mmo system from 3. I really liked the story and the twist at the end but the game felt too short.

1 and 2 were the best ones I think.

I think 1 and 2 are the best ones also but I hope he will make a Lost Tales 2.

Yeah, they have something nice and relaxing. Also good is that you don't have to steer some character around.

For games with weapons and skills I can only think of those that'd need walking with keyboard and doing stuff with mouse. Or need 2 hands on the keyboard. Maybe something will come to me later, I'll keep thinking.

Good luck to your search. :)

I would be very happy if they could make a game like that every year, and in different settings e.g. western, cyberpunk, pirates, etc.

To be honest all their other games suck, they should put all their energy into hero of the kingdom sequels and spinoffs.

A couple of games I found that come close to 'Hero of the Kingdom' are
'Hope for Village' and 'Hope for City'. If i remember correctly, they sell for a dollar each. But they aren't as well made as 'Hero of the Kingdom' and involve a little bit of grind.

A demo version of Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 is now available on Steam.

Thanks, hadn't seen you comment before, those guys give 3 games for 2€ doesn't look as good as this, but they seem fun anyway.

Nice, thanks for the warning

A bit late to the party, but here's a few reccs for you:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/39190/Dungeon_Siege/
DS1 is a super casual ARPG will a really nice game world. All you need is a mouse with 1 button; there's no fast clicking like Diablo. With the right party settings the game basically plays itself. You can also pause the game at any time with the spacebar. The multiplayer map is the best part, but the Steam version ♥♥♥♥ blocks it.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/343800/Shadowgate_MacVenture_Series/
Shadowgate is a classic RPG, it's a blend of a dungeon crawl and adventure game. It requires thought to play, but still only requires a mouse with 1 button. The remastered version is avaliable here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/294440/Shadowgate/

https://store.steampowered.com/app/340360/Tomb_of_Tyrants/
Tomb of Tyrants is a weird genre-blending game with some RPG elements. Again, it's casual and can be played 1 handed.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/314120/Frayed_Knights_The_Skull_of_SmakhDaon/
Seem to remember Frayed Knights being a single handed game. It's a traditional dungeon crawl but 3D and tongue-in-cheek humor focused. It's not for everyone, but if you like classic RPGs and classic RPG humor it will likely suit you.

Hope that's a few easy options for you mate, cheers!
