Hi, what are your specs and OS ? have you tried to run the game in winopengl in the BETAS tab from the game properties? Hope it helps.

Hi,
Same issue for me, I installed the game but can't run it. Is there any solution about this issue? Else does Steam/Agharta refund?
Djodoff Dec 8, 2014 @ 12:21am
Some answered me to re-install openal32.dll, following this process: "There are two ways to reinstall openal32.dll. Firstly through shufflepuck;

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ShufflepuckCantinaDeluxe\_CommonRedist\OpenAL\2.0.7.0

Then double-click on "oalinst". Or go through the extensions;

C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenAL

Then double-click on "oalinst". The second way is just faster, all you need to do is just reinstall the "oalinst" package", it neather worked for me, but maybe for you...

My specs: MS Windows 7 home premium 64-bit, Intel core i3 CPU M330 @ 2,13GHz, 3,0GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series

Is the winopengl trick is something we have to write in the same window as "-d3d"?

Sorry, I understood by myself where the winopgl beta version was, and it doesn't works for me, thank you for this try

djodoff, thank you for your patience, usually OpenAL fixes missing sound. Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Can you try deleting then reinstalling the game from Steam ?

gaetan, I'll check about refunds but we probably can fix that problem. So the game crashes right when you launch it without an error message?
Djodoff Dec 8, 2014 @ 3:00am
Just like for Gaetan, game crashes right when I launch without any error message. I indeed tried to reinstall the game 3 times, and to turn off my computer. I also checked my updates, even for directX. I really expect what happens

Hello KominAaa, thanks for your answer...
Win 7 64 bits, 32 go RAM, gtx 970 (x2), all drivers updated.
Same problem as djodoff and Gaetan... crah rignt when i launch the game.... No error message...
What is winopgl ? with Gtx 970 open gl is version 4.4
Thanks erevybody for your help... Hope we'll find a solution....

Nouche, wow that's quite a warmachine you got. Winopengl is a version of the game you can opt in. In the game's properties, click BETAS tab, select winopengl and it should reinstall the game, now it will run the game in OpenGL.
Mr_G Dec 8, 2014 @ 4:30am
Hi,
No worries about my computer being a warmachine too. I also uninstalled and reinstalled, other recents games work fine (even games much bigger).
When i start it, there's a pop up window that appears and disappears in such a flash that i don't have time to even see what it is about.
Looking forward your fix or refund. Going to try your solution about OpenGL...

I reinstalled the beta version, and it works. Thx. But it's only a beta, and the game wasn't sold as a beta/early access. Can you please keep investigating this issue and feedback us (your clients). An ETA for a new version would be welcome. Thx in advance.
KominAaa Dec 8, 2014 @ 5:32am
Are you playing the game on a screen or with an Oculus ?
The only "real beta" build available is an incomplete Linux Oculus version due to Oculus not releasing a stable Linux Oculus DK2 SDK (sorry for the jargon).
All the other "Betas" are the same full game with different compatibility modes that we've kept here to ensure the game would work for pretty much everybody.
We maintain all these versions as much the regular one, it features exactly the same content and game except the render mode is different, it would be great if Valve could rethink terminology on this feature.

In short, if youre playing winopengl, youre playing the same game with the same content but using OpenGL.
I hope that's ok.
