Yeah, but it's easy to bump it to 120 on pc by editing the configs in the registry.

plenty mobile games have 120fps options. im sure somebody will find a way to force it to 120fps since it doenst seem like anything crazy like physics tied to framerate or anything

The game is using Unity, so making a mod to fix it should be relatively easy unless the game uses anti-cheat like the Blue Reflection gacha game's native PC client that's on the DMM launcher.

EDIT: The game is using a DynamicFPSManager class that's possibly being used to cap the framerate. Will mess around with it once I'm done downloading the game files. Disabling it, and then adjusting the Application class's max framerate cap seemingly unlocks it. Making a BepInEx mod/fix for this game should be easy, but I can tell even with max settings, the game's menus are not running at 1080p.

It's a turn based game... You don't need more.

Not everyone has a VRR/FreeSync monitor or has a screen refresh rate that evenly divides by 60. Otherwise, it's gonna be stuttertown. There's a reason a 30FPS lock only works on consoles, and that's because of it properly pacing itself with a 60Hz refresh, and not being a poorly implemented framerate limit (Bloodborne is one of the few console games that have extreme judder at 30, and that's because they implemented their own cap rather than using the system's VSync functionality).

This is clearly an issue that the developers spent more time working on a jank workaround for an issue that didn't exist (as evident by the game behaving fine unlocked) than actually properly fixing. They're using a game engine (Unity) that can properly handle it.

This is just good ole' jank Japanese programming (of reinventing the wheel unnecessarily, and not actually testing their games to see if the behavior is consistent) back at it again. But considering Team Ninja was apparently involved with this one, and their jank work on all of their previous games on PC (yes, compared to GUST) and all of them launching with technical problems, I shouldn't even be shocked by that one.

Also, the other GUST games on PC run unlocked and with whatever screen resolution you want. The same people saying "You gotta write IF/ELSE statements for every GPU/CPU/RAM/MOBO combonation ever conceived, porting games to PC is hard" clearly have never touched a single line of code in their life. Go be a Steam forums brainlet farming jester awards somewhere else.
