Game Doesn't Start BUT Shows in Task Manager

When I run the game, I see a little spinning circle, and then it goes away. Nothing. Steam still shows it running, and it's in Task Manager. So, I kill it and repeat. Same thing.

If I go to the Steam Folder and run it from there, it works fine. Setting the properties of the exe to "Run as administrator" does fix the issue, but I don't like giving games administrator priviledges.

Is there a way for this to run through Steam normally?

I see that the last post from the Devs is many, many moons ago. So, I am going to have to live with the "Run as administrator" fix. Just right click on the exe in the Steam folder SneakySneaky. Go to Properties => Compatibility. Check the Run as administrator box. There, now it will run through Steam albiet with a UAC prompt on starting.

A very fun game, though.
