It´s working on Windows 10 without Problems. The story is worth to play it. But the Controls are terrible. It´s hard to get trough the game and it have some frustrating moments. But after a while you get used of the controls and the game is pretty easy then. Trust me it´s worth his money. Sry for my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ english.

I liked this game back in 2008. My only complaint is that it's story was never properly followed upon with new Episodes/DLC or a proper sequel. It COULD have been something great. They threw a LOT of money into this game after all. Especially in advertizing and promotion. In my opinion it was the bugs and glitches as well as the copy protection system that killed it. The graphics, music and story were all superb!

You know what the sad thing is? That 2 years later, Alan Wake became the game that this game was supposed to be... It took the concept and some mechanics and implemented them the right way. And this is what the curse of the Alone in the Dark franchise has always been. Great concepts, poor implementation.

The first AITD became an inspiration for Resident Evil and this one led to Alan Wake. Resident Evil 1 actually stole entire puzzles from AITD 2. What can we say? The world is just not fair sometimes.
This game isn't terrible. It's just dated as fudge.

I don`t see it being dated. Graphically it is impressive (Maybe not on console). Music in the game is top knot. Story? Meh, it makes more sense than story in RE5 or RE6. Puzzle mechanics are pretty interesting and had some potential (most people hated this though: picking a item, and burning it to get past black slime).

Enemy variety, inventory and controls are the things I hate. The game is also quite short. Driving parts weren`t so bad now that I played them. Got past them with first 2-4 try. Some people complained how car controls were awful, and being stuck here.

Let's be honest here. The game was developed for XBox 360. The PC port was terrible and full of bugs. The controls were awful because they were developed for XBox 360 Controller, not for Keyboard and Mouse. The DRM was the final blow. Most people who bought it, returned it the following day because it was unplayable. They didn't even bother to make a patch to fix things. Zero support.

They actually fixed the game about a year later and added some content and called it Alone in the Dark: Inferno and released it ONLY for PS3... THAT version was good.

I'd like to see more Episodes added to the game and the story properly continued. Connecting all AITD games in a proper storyline. Carnby meeting the younger Carnby and Aline from AITD 4. That story was never followed upon either.

It would cost them less money to produce DLC for a decade old game than to make a new one. I'm sure the old fans would buy the new Episodes. Something like a Season 2 so to speak. If Blizzard can make a new Diablo 2 Patch 15 years later, why can't Atari produce new DLC for this game? Answer is, they just don't care about this franchise anymore.

Someone who actually cares, needs to buy the rights of this franchise. Maybe we should put pressure on Atari with a Petition? And who wouldn't like to see Remakes of the first 3 games which are now very dated?

The franchise which gave birth to Survival Horror deserved something better than this...
