How to swap save files

Sometimes you might need or want to swap out save files, here is how to do it.

Locate the save folder by right clicking Moose Miners in Steam and select Manage->Browse local files. In the folder that opens there should be a folder named a bunch of numbers (your steamID), this is the save folder. Inside that you will find files named progress_x.data, where x can be a number between 0 and 5. These are your save files A to F, 0 is A, 1 is B and so on. There are also often a .bak version and a .old version of each save file, those are backups of the save file, the .old version is created each time the game saves by exiting or when autosaving, .bak is created when a save is loaded.

To swap out saves from a manual backup or from one of the automatically made backups rename the original save file from progress_0.data to progress_0_orig.data just in case you want to go back to the original save. Then copy and rename your backup save to progress_0.data. Then Save A would be replaced with that save file.

Same goes for moving a save from one save slot to another, for example copying Save A to Save B. First rename the original save in save slot B in case it exists from progress_1.data to progress_1_orig.data. Then copy progress_0.data and rename the copy to progress_1.data, and your done.
