So I only played a tiny bit but I remember a boy in the corner of Highpool that told me about a seret cave. So I guess the boy lol. There was also a note on a wall in the Highpool store that may have said something about it.

The boy tells you the location from there using Perception.

Inside a larger non-descriptive building you'll see a Store Counter and "Mr Jumbo's" room / office...
On a wall by Store - you're ALERTED when just walking by -
A Note Tacked to the Wall says:
-- Cave
-- Jackie
-- Bobby's Dog
-- Fix Water Purifier

Ask Bobby about - DOG JACKIE CAVE

The 2nd. time you ask about the Cave, Bobby gives you its exact location & asks you NOT to kill his dog... before he "disappears"...
"The cave is between the pool (pond) and the west cliff wall, kinda between those two trees."

Using PERCEPTION on that spot reveals - "A deep, dark hole leading to a cave. & a short strand of rope dangles from a tree limb."
So..... USE a ROPE to 'climb down into the cave !!!

In the Workshop... old machinery and tools are scattered about. Use PERCEPTION on the 'patchwork machine' you recognize to be a 'pump'... to reveal that the gaping hole beside the pumps leads you to believe it could be fixed with a new ENGINE !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At Ag. Center... once inside the Root Cellar... use PERCEPTION on a 'dusty console'... a 'diary' (paragraph reference) about the rangers there joining the farmers in the field to battle the attacking varmints.
