What is the difference between water works and water reclamation ? Which one should I buid first ? Thx

And I have another question ... I restarted a new game as Burundi in order not to be overwhelmed by complexity. And yes, Burundi is very small and underdevelopped with few cities and inductrial complexes, so it's simple. But I have a problem: I can see in the production screen that the country is producing fresh water but I can't see any facility producung it. So where does the wqater comes from ?

Water Reclamation is a system that reclaims waste water, treats it and enters it back into the water system for human use. It is more expensive and produces less water. Can be built anywhere, does not need a water hex.

Water Works, is a basic system drawing fresh water from a natural source, treating it for human use. It produces more water and is less expensive. Can only be built on a water hex.


Each country produces a certain amount of resources without a facility. Example, water, food, electricity. This simulates the fact people will draw water from a spring, well, etc and haul it by bucket loads to home. Just as people can produce food without modern farming techniques by foraging.

You are welcome. I agree a lot of research was put into the game series. There are some issues, but the darn game is solid compared to any modern title.
