Folkvangr is a nation of Svartalf warriors and runesmiths, returning to the surface an age after they said 'nuts to this' and returned to their subterranean kingdom when the Vanir of Vanheim came down on their Helhalla allies like a cave-in. In the middle age they made contact with the few, pitiful remnants of Helheim and swiftly subjugated human serfs and put them to work as warriors and shock troops. The humans have created a religion surrounding the mysterious and ancient Hangadrotts, and pattern their mages after them.

Late in the Conjuration tree Folkvangr can summon those Hangadrotts and Disir which fled Helhalla to the lands of the dead, and if some madman makes it to Thaumaturgy 9 they'll find a spell to return the Dead God of the Vanir to the world of the living. His sprite(s) are terrible, I know.

The Svartalf Mastersmith and the Asynja based on Freyja are discounted at 40, and the Allfather at 20; Freyja battle-summons a boar now, to give her something to stand out from the other titans.

Nation summary:
- Svartalf units are heavily armored and strong, but have severe weaknesses to AOE magic, Brands and of course, trample. Their arbalests have excellent range and stopping power, but are slow and cumbersome to move. Human huskarl and hirdmen are as you'd expect.
- The Cap-only Big Mage is the Svartalf Runesmith at E2D2+FAED.
- The Svartalf King and the Dvala are also Cap-only. The King is a serviceable thug with a bane blade and the thinnest of banefire shields; the Dvala can summon ally Svartalf Workers. Svartalf Workers are essentially militia that produce 1 res apiece and can activate rare events if placed in Gold or Silver Mines/Deposits.
- The recruit anywhere human mage is the Geyja at AD random+AEDB random.
- The human priest is the Skalla, a simple H1 with a 20% blood random. They can sacrifice slaves if so inclined.
- The multiheroes of the nation are the Sons of Ivaldi, ancient runesmiths with ED+3 randoms and a 10% forge bonus.
- There are three national items: a Con 0 piece of armor, a trinket which summons a Golden Boar, and a hammer with a powerful aura of air magic.

Updated nation to 1.1.

The Dead God summon has a better sprite (not reflected in the nation pic at the top), and a couple of minor tweaks.

I'd appreciate some feedback on whether the heavily-armored dwarves are too powerful, as somebody suggested in a different forum.
