Content Warnings?
After playing the demo, I have to say this game desperately needs content warnings. If you don't know what I mean, check behind the painting in the second house you decorate. For a "cozy game", that's messed up.

I'd like to second this. I really enjoyed the demo and liked being surprised by the hidden story/mystery. But a content warning is more than appropriate, especially because the aesthetics of the game do not signal it. You're going to have players feeling really uncomfortable and triggered without having been warned first.

We deeply apologize for the discomfort caused by certain elements in the demo. We didn’t realize how disturbing and upsetting some of the content could be. We’re currently considering how to address these issues. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Thank you for your feedback!

I honestly had no clue what I was looking at. Am I too pure? lol Anyway, it seems like it's been removed now.

I think a setting that allows player to switch/disable these parts will be nice instead of removing it from game completely.
While those gaming contents are "dark", discovering and preventing them from happening is an attracting game experience.

Kinda agree, I was so curious to see what it looked like after seeing the reviews but alas I was too late.

super appreciate the devs' quick response, but i hope they don't remove this fully from the game! i played when it was still in the demo, and i thought it was interesting and added a whole new dimension to the game. i would have just preferred a content warning, or the option to hide that content, instead of removing it entirely.

Yep! Always add options instead of going to the extreme.
will all the darker tones be removed from the game then?

Apparently, the contents of a secret room behind a painting were changed, I think? I haven't played the demo myself yet, I just heard about the commotion so I went to watch a streamer on YouTube that played it. I saw the room as it was originally in the video and I didn't really know what to make of it, mostly a bunch of cosplay-looking dresses and wigs, with what looked like a ball and chain nearby.

I didn't know if I was looking at someone's sick fantasy or a crime scene, but with the world in the state it is today, it would take more than that to trigger me personally. (Just my own opinion...)

Anyway, I think this is what they were talking about, like I said, didn't play it in its original state just glanced over a video about it.

nothing visually graphic, but the item descriptions painted an ugly picture. there was a couch, costumes, studio lights and a ball and chain, plus photos and a journal. it's heavily implied through the item descriptions that the landlord has been drugging tenants, putting them in costumes and taking pictures while they're unconscious. i can't remember if it implied he was assaulting them too. if you do nothing, the next day's newspaper will say that the tenant you just helped has disappeared mysteriously, and the apartment is up for rent again. if you go to the apartment, it's totally empty and filled with garbage now.

Holy yikes! The complete unawareness of what is or isn't cozy doesn't make me confident about the full game...
Thank you for changing the side-story. I really like this game, it is very sweet and cozy, and such a twisted storyline was pretty jarring to come across. The new story fits the tone of the game much better!
I must have missed it? When I went to it was just a bunch of items like someone was hoarding stuff. I did see the newspaper the next day but it was different than what yall said. and I actually did not even realize it was related.
