reverse in STDS

MY SCANIA TRUCK DRIVING SIM GAME WONT GO INTO REVERSE. IT WILL GO INTO REVERSE IN TRUCKS AND TRAILERS AND EURO TRUCK 2. WHAT IS WRONG. HELP

not sure this will apply to this but i wasnt able to move at all unless i hit the shift key even tho its not even assigned to anything, is setup for auto gearbox. Yes now im seeing mine wont go into reverse either, applies the brake but i do not hear it shift into reverse.

ok found the prob.... auto has a "simple" auto option or sequential....i just put back on simple for the gearbox and everything started working ok, automatic seems to confuse me for some reason.

hello, in put it in simple in gameplay and it changed it in controller to simple. reverse worked one time i could not control the steering and it did not work again. thank you for taking time to answer my question. help

Im not sure if your using keyboard and mouse or a control pad, this is for keyboard or keyboard and mouse setup....."For automatic transmission (simple)" Directional gearing is a little strange if your using keyboard which is what i use. While setting still press (S) key once and it puts it in reverse, should hear reverse alarm beeping, then hold down (S) key to go ahead and start moving in reverse. Holding (W) key will apply brake when moving in reverse to stop. Then to go forward you press (W) key once to activate forward gear, then hold down W key and will start moving forward. This took me some time to figure out but after practicing it all started making since. Not sure if this answered your question.

i have the wheel, pedal and shifter- g27. i guess it does not work for these devices. it was working fine i got busy when i got back to the game a couple of weeks later it would not reverse. ive tried to contact scs but with no response. support is bad, they don't respond

problem solved you have to keep fanning the brake pedal to keep moving backwards.i tried other game plays in scania and i saw if you hit the brake twice you were in reverse but the truck would not move. but if you hit gas it would stop and go forward. i pressed brake three or four times it keep moving backward i said ohhhh. its a little problem but at least i can play game. i hope this helps someone.

Keyboard controls:
Set "gearbox" to "simple".
Up-arrow goes forward.
Down-arrow does brakes and backwards.

Steering wheel:
Set "gearbox" to "automatic".
Gear is displayed on dashboard - look for "N" "R" "D2".
Left-shift: goes up a gear - hit it once at the start to shift from N to D2 and drive.
Left-ctrl: goes down a gear - from N to R to go backwards.
