Game is unplayable with g920
The force feedback is so high you cant turn the wheel without flipping the ♥♥♥♥ing desk over. I cant change the ♥♥♥♥ force feedback strength in the logitech settings because some spastic gave the newer model less ♥♥♥♥♥ settings than the older models.

So how do you turn off the ffb or atleast reduce it for the g920. The ♥♥♥♥ing ingame sliders dont do jack-♥♥♥♥. Never had these problems with ets 2. Oh and also the game is ♥♥♥♥ing optimised to ♥♥♥♥. i get 30 fps with a blinkin 1080 at 1440p. Utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t

I found the solution to this. At least a decent workaround.
Close all games. Open the Logitech Profiler and enter the Steering Wheel Settings.
Create a new Profile. I named it after STDS in the profile properties. Then select the STDS exe as "Games and apps that use this profile" in profile properties.

You find it in - Steam\steamapps\common\Scania Truck Driving Simulator

Then you open also check the box "Lock profile when game is running". Now you can close the profile properties.

Oper the Axin Properties for the Wheel. Set Centering and Sensitivity according to your preferences and click ok. Close the profiler.

With deactivated FFB in STDS you now only have the centering force you set in the profiler. Yet you will always once you started a mission immidiatly go into the controller settings, check and unchek FFB and then you will only have the set centering spring force.

An OLD game doesn't have settings for NEWER hardware? Amazing! Where are the psychic abilities of these devs to predict the future? Unacceptable!

The answer is: Yes, but no.

It's properly detected and can be set up, but the force feedback won't work. It's always set to maximum with a high center force and the only way to change that is to start a "challenge", immediatly enter the menu, set the FFB on and off and then it will be off completely, thus resulting in zero resistance and feedback. It is totally playable, but it's highly annoying to always do that (unless of course you want to train your arm muscles).

I wrote to the SCS support and they said that STDS is not supported anymore and it won't be updated to work properly with modern wheels.

To achieve better comfort, use Logitech Gaming Software and go to Settings (gear wheel icon) -> G29 (tab) -> Steering Wheel (section). When Allow Game To Adjust Force Settings[i.imgur.com] field is unchecked, only Logitech Gaming Software settings will be applied when playing a game. Everything regarding force feedback settings within the game will be ignored. It will make centering work properly in STDS. Another force feedback effects will unfortunately still not work - that would require developers to update the game in order to make the wheel fully compatible.
