Steam won't launch the game

When I click the play button nothing happens. It gives me the "in-game" thing in the bottom right corner for like 2 seconds. Then it dissappears. No error message. Nothing.
I went to the "SteamDNLauncher.txt" file to check if it said anything. It says "fr 10. jan 21:02:06 2014 Debug: Steam Init failed".
I've tried verifying the game's cache. Still doesn't work.
Can I get some help?

Backing-up the game and re-updating the game also doesn't work.
The game still won't start ;_;

i erase the game and download again, now is worse, says something abou c++ problem and dont run D:

It worked for me by goin to the folder then running DNLauncher by right-mouse button then run as administrator and then using the password you have for your PC ohh and delete the one on your desktop cause you see if you right-click it it wont give you any options except what a normal map would give and not a program.

Umm Levon is right. Go to the Dragon Nest folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Nest Europe\DragonNest
As the link suggests, open the DragonNest folder and then right click the "dnlauncher" program and run as admin. It would seem that Dragon Nest installs several launchers when installed through steam, I counted three in the two folders I looked in. Only one of which worked. BE MINDFUL THOUGH, you'll probably need to create an account on Dragon Nest's OWN website. I haven't tested this yet, but try it out and come here and tell us how it works out

Had similar problems to this just now when i tried to play for the first time, used run as adming on both the steamDN and DN launchers and still wont work. I noticed the processes for DNlauncher shows up in taskmanager but the game does nothering. does anyone have a fix or is this still not a resolved issue?
i would like to play this but if i cant boot the game theres no point in me bothering with it.

You don't want to boot the DNlauncher (capital DN), use the one in all lowercase letters :)

I have the same problem. If I try to run game from steam or SteamDNLauncher.exe it is not running.
I don't like to log on to computer as administrator (because I am linux user). So I run my computer as simple user.
But I was able to run game from ~steamapps\common\Dragon Nest Europe\DragonNest\dnlauncher.exe and I do not need to run it as administrator.

Try do the patcher thing again and then restart steam, then try and start up Dragon Nest Through Steam.

yes, this is happening to me right now, i know this is from forever ago, but this constantly happens to me.
