if you're a new player, some classes use different starting areas, and they use different channels, once you reach main capital saint haven (after lv24) you can access all 8 saint haven channels to play with your friends, however going to the 2nd village (calderock) has the same thing

If you invite player to your party, he will be telepeorted to your location no matter what town he is in. There is no need to wait until reaching any level.

Keep in mind though that characters starting in Praire Town will have first few quests in different locations than the ones starting in Mana Ridge.
