Thank you so much for the feedback. Early on, I struggled a lot with making the game accessible to new players, and I might have gone too easy in some areas.
Funny enough, as I’m working on new features, I just realized that Ruins and Caves might not be offering enough of a challenge. Definitely something I’ll be looking into!
As for money, not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but crafting and modifying weapons can be a big money sink. And we’re also planning to add “Buy a House” and “Fund a Building” options in towns. Do you think there should be even more ways to spend gold? Open to ideas!
On difficulty, have you taken down a Level 5 Evil Center yet? Curious to hear your thoughts on that. And if you’re looking for a real challenge, we’re planning something tough with the Five Seals (Portals) around the map.
Let me know if you have any more suggestions, I’m all ears!
Cheers! =]
I guess this one that keep poisoning my bandoleros, since sometimes the ruins will have only rats and mimics.
But yeah, Caves and Ruins don’t spawn troops around them, and the ones inside aren’t that strong. I'll fix that.
Sounds like you might be dealing with a "Graveyard" problem, aka a high-level Evil Center poisoning your bandoleros.
And sometimes it is 6 level 8 Undead with 2 wolf companions. 3 Warriors and 3 incredibly annoying Mages. Those fights can be tough but at least the huge amount of experience you get out of those fights make up for the difficulty.
I did like the psycho dungeon, left there with all negative moods hehe. The shaky text to set the mood worked nicely. I haven't tried the colored dungeons I saw yet but will brave those tomorrow.
Found 4 nice legend weapons so far. The main hand ax that can be thrown 5 spaces is perfect! 2h defensive sword could actually replace sword and board. 2h hammer with splash damage built in. Massive tank shield is good but with I could enchant it with something to get back that negative to initiative.
If I can figure out why screenshots dont work then I will print a screenshot
And, hey, nobody said you have to use Arcane armor in your mages or Heavy armor in your fighters. ~_^
Looking forward to see what builds you guys can came up with! =]
Cheers!
