- Skills evolve as much as you use them
- Relationships with characters grow too
- There will be a Master Skill for Weapon and Magic trees
- You can find legendary items as you progress
You can get more party members on:
- Party -> Relations -> Myself (wee bit hacky, I may remove that in the future)
- Some random map Events
- Some Ruins and Cave random events
Hope you have fun with the game, mate!
Cheers! =]
Thanks so much, Trevelyan_Heart! I really appreciate it. =]
I took some design inspiration from GURPS, keeping numbers small so every +1 has a big impact. In Endless, even a slight boost matters, unlike FF, where you start with single-digit damage and end up hitting for 9999. LoL
Hope you have fun with the game! I'm all ears for feedback, mate.
Cheers!
You can max out two attributes, go for a well-rounded build, or anything in between. Every setup has its pros and cons. But, as you’ve noticed, if you don’t invest in Mind, you’ll have fewer Skills. It’s doable, but you’ll need to plan carefully and know how to progress.
In my own runs, I usually go with an Orc lass stacking Power and Speed. It’s hilarious watching her blast through enemies like a truck. =]
Hey, mate! I get where you're coming from, but "false advertising" feels a bit harsh, no? The level cap is intentional, it keeps progression meaningful and encourages skill evolution, strategy, and dynamic content instead of just chasing infinite numbers.
The game isn’t “endless” because stats scale forever, but because there are endless ways to engage: evolving skills, relationships, varied challenges, and dynamic world events.
Random items are balanced within this framework, not designed for infinite scaling. Hope that clears things up!
Cheers!
You can craft your own items with different combinations of bonuses, does that count?
This game is more of an infinite adventure game. A better comparison would be Mount&Blade, but with some non Murderhobo solutions to conflicts. The "Endless" part of the title refers to the number of adventures you can go on. Not just quests but dungeon delving, city saving, war mongering, all sorts of fun things!
It is an adventure game. Why do people (like me) keep playing Torchlight 2 long after hitting the level cap? The hunt for better gear mainly. Or playing with friends on a LAN
