Hello mate! The Character Max Level is 10, but this is only a fraction of the evolution.

- Skills evolve as much as you use them
- Relationships with characters grow too
- There will be a Master Skill for Weapon and Magic trees
- You can find legendary items as you progress

You can get more party members on:
- Party -> Relations -> Myself (wee bit hacky, I may remove that in the future)
- Some random map Events
- Some Ruins and Cave random events

Hope you have fun with the game, mate!

Cheers! =]
For the cost its an excellent game so far, personally wished for more levels and equipment choices but yeah great job thus far.

Thanks so much, Trevelyan_Heart! I really appreciate it. =]

I took some design inspiration from GURPS, keeping numbers small so every +1 has a big impact. In Endless, even a slight boost matters, unlike FF, where you start with single-digit damage and end up hitting for 9999. LoL

Hope you have fun with the game! I'm all ears for feedback, mate.

Cheers!
I understand why the level cap is so low, but it seems so far (I'm still pretty early in) that it creates something of an issue where power-focused characters have very few skills, and it makes a lot of the more niche warrior-type skills less valuable. Will the level cap grow as beta continues?

the max stat is 5, so you'll decide where the character will be slow but skilled warrior or fast with very few skill, or balanced

Just like Power Button said, the max attribute is 5, and the max level is 10. This won’t change for balancing reasons.

You can max out two attributes, go for a well-rounded build, or anything in between. Every setup has its pros and cons. But, as you’ve noticed, if you don’t invest in Mind, you’ll have fewer Skills. It’s doable, but you’ll need to plan carefully and know how to progress.

In my own runs, I usually go with an Orc lass stacking Power and Speed. It’s hilarious watching her blast through enemies like a truck. =]

Do random items drop with infinite scaling stats? If your progress is capped then to me the game title is false advertising.

Hey, mate! I get where you're coming from, but "false advertising" feels a bit harsh, no? The level cap is intentional, it keeps progression meaningful and encourages skill evolution, strategy, and dynamic content instead of just chasing infinite numbers.

The game isn’t “endless” because stats scale forever, but because there are endless ways to engage: evolving skills, relationships, varied challenges, and dynamic world events.

Random items are balanced within this framework, not designed for infinite scaling. Hope that clears things up!

Cheers!

What is "infinite scaling stats"?

You can craft your own items with different combinations of bonuses, does that count?

No, because the bonuses will be capped. Check out Lootun as a good example of infinite scaling. Or constant progression would be another way to put it.

Wow that Lootun game looks really really fun! I will give it a try!

This game is more of an infinite adventure game. A better comparison would be Mount&Blade, but with some non Murderhobo solutions to conflicts. The "Endless" part of the title refers to the number of adventures you can go on. Not just quests but dungeon delving, city saving, war mongering, all sorts of fun things!

What's the point in doing all that if you don't progress your characters past level 10 though? You don't get any stronger so all that stuff would seem like a waste of time.

On the map there are cities and villages, enemy stronghold and bandit camps, and some mysterious seals that you can visit. I havent seen all the equipment in the game yet. Or all of the systems they have in the game (I want to build my own city!)

It is an adventure game. Why do people (like me) keep playing Torchlight 2 long after hitting the level cap? The hunt for better gear mainly. Or playing with friends on a LAN

If in Endless RPG you can constantly upgrade your gear without a cap or a high cap then I might reconsider, but this just doesn't seem like my jam.

Thank you for introducing me to Lootun!! That game looks really fun. I hate fully idle games but Lootun does look like my jam!
