Win Grand Prix??

I have gotten all the achievements except the one for winning the Grand Prix. I have done it a few times with different mascots with maxed out stats, but have only been able to place around 12th place. How on earth do I get 1st place??

Just keep doing it. I sent my guys with the highest popularity and motivation and I crushed the opposition. Each competition adds to the agency's point total and nobody's putting up a mascot who can do even half of what a 100/100 mascot can do so just keep sending top performers out and they'll raise you in the rankings to #1 eventually.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I guess they don't reset the rankings fully each year. I don't want to editorialize about the fairness of that, lest the gaze of the Mysterious Masked Figures fall upon me, but I'm glad you were able to prevail!

I can't even get this mission to trigger again after the end game. It seems to be so rare

I was on my 3rd time when the end game triggered and it cancelled the 3rd time, since then I've not seen it again

That's weird. How many in-game days have passed since you've beaten the story, if you were to estimate? I don't know the exact frequency of the event, but it sure feels like it happens every other day if not more. Maybe you encountered a bug if it's already been several days, in which case it would be worth sharing on the bug report thread.

Multiple, I've heard the bird clock 5pm chime many times by now

I was thinking it's maybe as I've only just now as of 5 mins ago recruited mike, but I'm not sure and something might've bugged. But I did see Oli comment he's tested this exact scenario

I have a few things left to collect (claw machine awards) and a few mascot heart events left so a bit to go, but otherwise I'm just waiting for it to trigger

Hi, this *might* be a rare bug where the game disables the grand prix to do the finale (intended behaviour) and then the flag to restart the grand prix is missed/ignored.

We are currently investigating.

Ahhh I thought it might've been a bug. Ok I'll just hold off til a patch so I can get the last achievement

Is the grand prix meant to continue in perpetuity or should it stop after the finale if you got #1 already?

Haha, I swear, every time I've had to look something up about this game because I think it might be a bug, there are some posts within the last 24 hours by the Kaizen folks reassuring me that they're on it.

I've been enjoying this game so much, and stuff like that really just sweetens the tea for me. Cheers, Oli, and pass it on to your comrades!

Hello! Now that you have recruited the post game mascot, can you see if the grand prix pops up again please? We think that is the reason and it isn't actually a bug. It may take a few in game hours, which should equate to 15 to 25 minutes in real time.

Hello! Now that you have recruited the post game mascot, can you see if the grand prix pops up again please? We think that is the reason and it isn't actually a bug. It may take a few in game hours, which should equate to 15 to 25 minutes in real time.

It's just appeared not 5 mins into opening the game this time so mustve been a little impatient after recruiting the post game mascot or the game needed a restart after the finale.
