Question about the truck and story progression

As there is upgrade mechanic the truck, are any of them necessary to complete the story in the full game? I suck at racing games, so hope that isn't a blocker.

Greatly enjoyed the dialog in the demo, and am looking forward to the release.

Nope, none of them are required to beat the game.

Our intention with the truck is to provide a relaxed driving experience rather than a hardcore racing game. There is room to master the truck, but no requirement to. There aren't any timed driving sections or races.

Our pleasure. I think timed sequences often suck in games. Additionally, in the card game, you have 60 seconds to play your cards and save the day. We have included an option to disable that as well.
