It's basically a business side-story from the Yakuza series turned into a whole game. It's super funny, relaxing, easy to play and to get into, it has a banger OST, cool artstyle, compelling characters and well written dialogue. Total no brainer if the vibe you get from the trailers seems appealing to you.

What a delightful game!

In my experience this is more so an exploration game than a management one, at least when it comes to my time spent with the mechanics, the exploration clearly won out. The management side consists of keeping track of your mascots stamina before sending them to jobs and if you want better results have the mascots match the type of the job (all mascots have two innate types, while jobs have one). Despite it being the main money maker, especially early to mid game I rarely felt rushed to send the mascots out. The card game tied to the management elements is also relatively simple. Keep the card cost in mind while playing cards that can beat the target 'health bar' of the obstacle all while on a timer, that's it.

The exploration was very enjoyable. I liked the car physics, aimed more for fun than for realism and I mean this with only good intentions: It fondly reminded me of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts' town exploration. Getting new traversal abilities for your car plus a fun map was all my brain needed to attach and not let go until the credits. I struggle sticking with a lot of games for reasons I do not know, and this game was easy to keep playing. Frankly, once the credits rolled I thought about starting it over which does not happen often haha.

On another note, and I am not sure if this is a stylistic choice to mimic media of older eras or simply a tool to aid people not having as much time to play, but as my "oh what's this" gremlin brain focused a lot on the exploration part, a good amount of the story bunched together for me and I saw a lot of repeating information. I would recommend pacing exploration with story quests, get the story to it's current point, then explore more instead of letting "oh shiny" urges win completely. Characters going over the same information again within short time frames did not hinder my enjoyment but I felt it was noticeable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and music. Loved the canvas texture on the 2D character drawings as well.
