(Spoiler) Stuck in the mine

So I'm in the mine and I'm supposed to be getting the pickaxe to put it back on the rack yet I cant pick it up from the wall. In fact, its not showing any type of interface when I get close to it. Help? Cant progress...

I just raised the elevator out of the water and examined the body in it. Then I looked at the rack of pick axes that has one missing. Ran into the dark tunnel where I can see a pick axe on the left side but i cant pick the darn thing up. Do I really need to light the place just to pull a pick axe out of a wall? lol

There's a train like at the bridge. Start it up, move it all the way back and drive forward smashing the rocks out of the way. Keep driving and loop around the area with the body then head towards the pickaxe.

The problem is that even if you can see the axe, you cannot pick it up, without the headlamp from the tram lighting it. Even when you pull the tram too far forward, you can't interact with the axe. It requires the light. You gamma setting isn't relevant.

Note that this is one of the things that was fixed in the first update, so that you couldn't interact with things in the dark.

Edit: Oops thread necromancy

The problem with this is that I had already driven the vehicle back and forward with the intent of gaining momentum and breaking through the rocks but apparently not ALL the way back (but close), and the spedometer is broken/doesn't show a speed gain. So I had to look this up.
