AUTO-SAVE ???? (no spoilers) just a question.
so i dislike the auto save thing, i played and it didnt even save my game! i was not happy that i had to do all the things i did again.

so since i cant change this feature, HOW can i know that it auto-saved my progress? so i know when to exit the game.

if you know tell me, and maybe others who hate the auto save would like to know.

Yes I found that you walk alot... then walk some more.. then walk a bit further. Come out of game. Go back to game later on and maybe you found a save point maybe you did not. If not repeat all that you did before. I hope the new patch added more save points otherwise the game becomes boring. I will play again tonight and see what happens.

in that note, in my 1st playthrough it didnt save my progress when logged in to play, although i did uncover some mysteries! but then after hours of not playing (due to it not saving my original progress)
i did do alot, and it did save when i open letters! so i was confused, thought that maybe the auto save was random! but are you sure? about it saving when i open letters or anything of that sort? i just want to exit the game knowing that it did save what i did :(

I think when game autosaves it shows three dots in the right bottom corner of the screen. Maybe it's something else, I'm not sure.

We solved some puzzles and read some letters and still nothing was saved. We have had to start from the beginning again :(( Not happy.

Yes, it´s very bad that you can´t save where you want.
Last night i played and when i want to go to bed i was walking
around to find a point where the game saves.
Found none. So next time i have to play ca. 45 Minutes again.
This is really ♥♥♥♥.

Three dots in the right bottom corner is right when games saves.

Hi guys,

sorry about that, we are aware of this problem, unfortunately a patch is not enough to solve it. We are going to implement a new saving system in the upcoming version of the game for PC, Linux, Mac and PlayStation 4 running in Unreal Engine 4 based on your feedback, so thanks for letting us know about it.

Hi Adrian - I just wrote some comments about my thoughts and experiences with your fantastic game - besides the horrible save-system - ;-) I would be very happy if there would be a SAVE feature. Any knews about it ?
best regards,
Michael

Dear mike69de,

we will be introducing a new saving system in the Unreal Engine 4 version of the game, as I mentioned a few days ago. More details on that soon. :)

Hi Adrian , thanks for your multiple speedy answers to my questions ! I really appreciate that ! And its good to hear that you will improve the savegame feature ! So I think the best would be - for me - to wait until the new version of the game will be released. Hopefully that will not take too much time...? ;-) Anyway: thank you very much and keep on the wonderful work :-)

Nice to hear that the devs are working on it! When playing games like Ethan Carter I take alot of time looking at things, exploring every nook and cranny. So far I have spent 70 minutes with the game and was very unhappy that all my progress was gone when I reentered the game.
