Need help at the dam (Warning Spoilers!)

Hey guys,

I am at the dam and just solved the murder with the axe bit. It got me into the powerhouse and that's where I got stuck.

Because I've been stuck here for quite some time I looked up a Walkthrough and I am supposed to turn a valve to make the power generator stop, but I don't have to option to turn the valve.

Any ideas what Im doing wrong here?

Should let you turn the valve then go outside, turn right and follow the river down until you see a stone pier that has steps on either side of the water. Turning the valve off will allow you to cross there. If you can't turn the valve (on the generator that's running) then try exit the game and come back (seems to fix most puzzle bugs).

Edit: Yeah restarting the game fixed it. I can now turn the valve. Thanks a lot mate.

Happened to me too, had to restart game and run all the way through the mine to get back down to the dam and go through the scene again.

the valve in the basement should turn, did the cut scene with the kid and older brother spawn, thats after u find dad upstairs;;;

the valvce should show tap on it when u look at it if everything was done correctly before hand
