If, however, you prefer prettier/more realistic looking textures, go for the original.
Also, if you have bought the CE, you need to install the original version first in order to be able to download/copy the extras (the amazing soundtrack, the wallpapers, the making-of booklet etc.).
Maybe it's just my perception, but I felt like the game has improved the "Curse of the Sea-Thing" puzzle.
In the original game, The Miner seemed to chase you around, and you had to get away quickly if he caught sight of you. In the Redux version, the Miner seems to move far slower and he makes a ton of sound to let the player know where he is. He also vanishes after just a few seconds, letting you explore more and not constantly worry about getting "caught".
