21:9 Aspect Ratio monitor support please
Please devs can you confirm 21:9 aspect ratio monitor support for those of us with Ultra Wide displays.

I think it will get a fix soon I have looked all through the ini files but it does not appear to have the sections to adjust so these need adding by someone with more UT3 engine knowledge. Look in the following locations yourself:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\my games\The Vanishing of Ethan Carter\AstronautsGame\Config

DRIVE LETTER STEAM LIBRARY INSTALLED ON
:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\The Vanishing of Ethan Carter\AstronautsGame\Config

Such a shame as right now those huge black borders ruin the atmosphere a lot they are so distratcing on this beautiful game!

I've been looking at those files as well, but haven't had any success either.

I posted a request for a Flawless Widescreen plugin for this game here.

Perhaps it will help if anyone interested in this responds there as well. They've been really great at supporting new games quickly so far!

It's not mentioned on the site yet, but flawless widescreen has been updated with a fix for 21:9.

This guy is a genius. Less than 24 hours after the release of the game!

@ The Astronauts please can you reward the creator of the 21:9 mod as he has saved you the time/money to do it yourself perhaps you could speak to him & make it native as well in a future update. The forced 16:9 black pillowboxes ruin immersion/atmosphere please fix it natively.

ultrawide is not rare, he is not the only one playing in 21:9. And also, not necessarily a game has to be programmed to support this resolution. I played 10 years old games and they support ultrawide (from a time where ultrawide was not even present on the market). This is not some critic towards TVOEC developers....is just to say that ultrawide is not a niche and it is basically normal to expect a game to work in that resolution.

Also, (and again is not a critic), all unreal engine games I played until now with my ultrawide screen, supported the native resolution of 2560x1080 and displayed the correct aspect ratio and FOV. I would have also expected ethan carter to work in the same way, let's see what the developers say or if someone comes out with a fix.

21:9 is not rare these days, once you used one you will never go back to a restricted monitor.

Instead of all these mainly pointless updates I wish the Astronauts would fix native 21:9 support. Rocksteady managed it in 2009 using the same engine how hard can it be to implement if a talented modder fixed this using memory injection hacks in a few minutes!

Mnjawell..yeshish.argh NO! It's not that common. Maybe for a hardcore-PCgamer. But not to the rest of the mob AKA me;-D

In-game options allow 21:9 but then still give you standard 16:9 for some reason. It fakes settings for no reason.

OP: there is a plugin "Flawless Widescreen" that gives support to most games. I use it for Rockstar games mostly since they're the few now that don't have support. This game works with it too.
