How do you play it with a friend?
I type my friends IP but it doesn't find his game.

Are you trying to play battles? The grand campaign is single-player only.

Oh haha. But yeah, for multiplayer, there's only field battles.

One of you must create a game first, then the other one type in the IP address. At least, that's what the manual says.

Nothing happens we typed in our IP's we tried it 4 times it doesn't work.

Its because the game was never updated for steam API and doesnt work correctly on multiplayer (and the last supported network driver was back in 2008). Unfortunately to get it to work properly, you'll need a LAN emulator like Hamachi or Tunggle. With them installed it bridges your connections and recreates a lan environment. this bug is not present on the non steam version but some wireless cards will mess with it.

Also forgot to mention that, GameRanger also supports Knights of Honour, if you want to open up your options.
