KOH HD full screen?
I had this game prior to having to reformat my PC (windows 10) a couple of weeks ago; it played in full screen no bother at all and I hadn't had to change anything to get it to do that.

Since reformatting my PC, the game plays with a small screen area although it's not windowed if that makes sense. It's like looking at a picture in the middle of the screen with a REALLY big black frame that surrounds the rest of it. I didn't have this problem before.

I tried patch 1.05 but that just made the play area even smaller and off to one side. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now seem to have the HD version of the game (not sure if that's the same version I had before - I'm not entirely convinced it is).

How can I get this game to play in full - or at least larger - screen? The graphics in the small play area I currently have are lovely but the writing is really small. I tried changing resolution but that didn't work either. I don't want to make any changes to the game as I liked it just the way it was - I just want to be able to see it in full screen!

That's the HD-patch-only mod and the last version of it, by my knowledge :
https://www.moddb.com/mods/knights-of-honor-ultimate-mod/downloads/hd-patch-only-310-full-hd-frende

Read the Readme txt file getting created after installing the mod to fix one or two potential issues. I can't really add more info, since it's been quite a while that i installed the HD mod.

You might have to edit the koh.in2 files (changing fullscreen and resolution), in the game files folder and also in the Black Sea Studio folder in Users/username/appdata.

Thank you for this. However, I seem to have corrected it myself. I didn't realise I hadn't tried the 59hz option of the original resolutions and when I did, lo and behold I got it at full (albeit slightly wide) screen. So although the text isn't crystal clear as such, it's very readable and I am enjoying my first game this time round. :)
