In that Reddit clip, see the small red tip on the power meter? That's what you want to avoid. Fill the meter to just below that tip and it won't start shaking back and forth.

I'm not sure how I was supposed to figure this out, or why the meter is different in franchise mode. I kind of like it now that I understand. Thought I should have been nailing my kicks lol.
I think I prefer the classic type of meter, it IS easier, but the results I've always had (Madden 24) seemed quite close to real, in that I 99% of the time got kicks that were quite easy, but had to really push it for longer ones. And every once in a while would mess up a close one.
Saying that, I have the new meter enabled in current franchise.
