PS4 Controller Not Working

I have my PS4 controller connected and have played around with all the settings and preferences but the game will only display Xbox controls. Any fix or am I cooked.

The only way I could get controllers working for this game was to Disabled steam controller support, and then PLUGGING THE CONTROLLER IN VIA USB. If I try to use my ps4 or ps5 controller connected via Bluetooth, it does not work.

This is the correct and only valid solution.

DS4Windows gets blocked by EA Anti-Cheat, so there's no real simple solution to the Bluetooth issue.

didnt work, also tried disabling steam input and the controller would just stop working

It took me to uninstall/reinstall steam, then when I disabled steam input for the game and ps4 controller it finally worked. The ps4 controller only showed ps4 layout via usb and not bluetooth. I tried originally to disable steam input and everything steam told me to do. It didn't work until I uninstalled/reinstalled steam.

I finally got my controller working again for Madden 24. In the game folder you will have a M24.exe icon and one that says M24Trial, I clicked the one for the trial and my controller worked again. Afterwards I started the game off my desktop shortcut as well as from inside Steam and it worked fine. I hope this helps!!!
